As the leading global health network and hospital operator, HCA Healthcare recognized the imperative to ready itself for the age of AI, while overcoming obstacles to adoption in a highly layered and distributed organization.

APPROACH
I drove the concept and design for an AI-powered hospital room of the future, as well as a nurse interface for patients. To make this vision feel real — and as a showcase and selling tool for executives — we created a future magazine with inspirational stories and features that captured the transformational impacts on HCA Healthcare as if they’d already happened.
SUCCESS
Our results
Following a highly successful socialization across the executive level, six key AI programs have already originated out of this work, including for nurse management, ambient documentation, maternal-fetal care, and hospital operations.
